Howard Products steel wool is the finest steel wool available for the application of Restore-A-Finish or Feed-N-Wax. Our super fine (0000) steel wool is excellent for use on both finished and unfinished wood surfaces. Always use with caution.
Restore-A-Finish
For white heat rings and water marks, fist lightly saturate a pad with the appropriate color of Howard Restore-A-Finish. Rub gently in the direction of the wood grain. Since finishes vary in harness, test pressure to be used on an inconspicuous spot. Cover a small area at a time and wipe dry immediately. Caution: Steel Wool may dull a high gloss finish.
Feed-N-Wax
For oiled unfinished wood surfaces, saturate a pad of steel wool with Feed-N-Wax and rub back and forth with the wood grain. Let stand for about 20 minutes and then buff dry with a soft cloth.
CAUTION: When working with steel wool, stay away from live electrical current. Always wear gloves and protective eyewear.
