Polyvine Wood Dye-500 ml
I was in need of a water based stains. I do love the rich oil based stains but I am not a fan of the clean up involved or the wait time when I need to paint over the oil based for sign making. As a sign maker and furniture artist, it’s important that your products work together and sometimes you are in a time crunch so having a water based stain option was a must. I’m happy to bring to you Polyvine’s Wood dye. This is a water based (stain) that can easily work with Fusion and Milk Paint for less wait time during your projects but also a beautiful easy to work with product. This product stains and seals the wood but for added durability such as a kitchen table top, I would recommend that you can add a layer of protection by coating with Polyvine Heavy Duty Wood Varnish. Each Sample block shows the color over pine with 1 coat. For more color, add more coats.
• hardwood and softwood
• water based • low odour • easy to apply • no overlap marks • seals the surface • fast drying
All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination. Remove oils and resins from oily hardwoods and resinous softwoods. Sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust.
Ensure product is well mixed. Do not mix different batch numbers. Pour into a suitable container and mix with other colour if required. Apply generously with a good quality brush, working with the grain and keeping a wet edge. Wipe off any excess quickly to get an even finish.
Different woods and woodgrains will alter the appearance of the wood dye. Apply to a test area prior to application.
Polyvine Wood Dye seals the surface but for added protection apply Polyvine Heavy Duty Wood Varnish.
